BECKETT Acquires COMIC BOOK CERTIFICATION SERVICE

George Marston reports on CBCS being acquired by Beckett Media. While this isn’t recent news (acquisition happened last year), it will be interesting to track the prices of CBCS comics vs CGC over the next few years as Beckett’s perceived authority as a collectibles expert comes into play. 

Box of Original 1999 Pokemon Cards Sells for $56,000

The box break and sealed product craze over the last few years have generated record prices for cards of all shapes and sizes. While this box is way out of my price range, it’s great to see trading card games continue to thrive in the e-sports era.
